    San Joaquin County Receives Federal Census Data, Will Begin Drawing New Supervisorial Redistricting Maps

    San Joaquin County has recently received the updated 2020 Census Data and will be using that information to redraw the boundaries of the County’s five supervisorial districts. Redistricting takes place every 10 years after the Federal Census, when district boundaries for Federal, State, and local elected offices are redrawn to reflect new population data and shifting populations. The County has created an informational video to help explain the redistricting process, and residents are encouraged to draw their own lines using a mapping tool.

    Stockton - Today, San Joaquin County District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar announced that the grand jury has indicted Michael Stiles and Omar Villapudua, two former Stockton Police Department Officers, with felony counts of assault by a public officer (149 PC) and assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury (245(a)(4) PC), as well as great bodily injury enhancements.
