Stockton, CA – At its meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors authorized the County’s Agricultural Commissioner to establish a Livestock Pass Program in San Joaquin County.

Stockton, CA – After emergency action by Chairman Miguel Villapudua last week, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors affirmed the Chair’s decision to declare a local emergency due to the beet leafhopper (“BLH”) and the presence of the beet curly top virus (“BCTV”) on tomato crops in the County.

The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner’s Office declares the completion of the 2023 walnut harvest. This establishes the beginning of the San Joaquin County “Walnut Buying Period”.

The San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner formally presented the 2022 Annual Agricultural Crop Report to the County Board of Supervisors on October 10, 2023 for approval.

AgVenture is a free County–sponsored program that seeks to inform and educate youth about agriculture, healthy-living, and local agricultural products. Students spend two hours at the field day interacting with a variety of agriculture displays.
