    San Joaquin County Receives Federal Census Data, Will Begin Drawing New Supervisorial Redistricting Maps
    Community invited to join County officials to help draw County electoral maps

    San Joaquin County has recently received the updated 2020 Census Data and will be using that information to redraw the boundaries of the County’s five supervisorial districts. Redistricting takes place every 10 years after the Federal Census, when district boundaries for Federal, State, and local elected offices are redrawn to reflect new population data and shifting populations. The County has created an informational video to help explain the redistricting process, and residents are encouraged to draw their own lines using a mapping tool.

    San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors Approves $33.7 Million in Small Business and Family Assistance Grants
    Applications available beginning on September 1st

    The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved additional funding for the Family COVID Assistance Grant and the Small Business Assistance Grant programs for residents and businesses that have been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, the County has distributed approximately $25.6 million to small businesses and families experiencing financial hardship due to the pandemic.

    San Joaquin County is beginning the process to redraw the boundaries of the County’s five supervisorial districts. Redistricting takes place every 10 years after the Federal Census, when district boundaries for Federal, State, and local elected offices are redrawn to reflect new population data and shifting populations. Residents of the County are invited to attend any of the three scheduled Redistricting Advisory Committee (RAC) outreach workshops either in-person or virtually.
