The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Office announced the signatures in lieu of filing fee period will begin on September 14, 2023, for the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. Candidates may submit a signatures in lieu petition (also called petitions in lieu) instead of paying a fee in order to run for certain offices.

Yesterday, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved $194,516 for the purchase of 29 new permanent vote by mail ballot drop boxes (ballot drop boxes) to place throughout the County.

San Joaquin County Health Care Services (HCS), in partnership with leaders from city and county government and nonprofit shelter partners, is actively working toward a more cohesive and effective system of support to reduce homelessness.
