San Joaquin County Ballot Counting Status
Good evening - The information below is a summary of the Statewide Direct Primary Election ballot-counting activity in San Joaquin County as of June 9, 2022.
- 88,700 unprocessed ballots including vote-by-mail ballots; provisional ballots; conditional voter registration provisional ballots; and unprocessed ballots that are damaged, need to be remade, or require further review. Additional VBM ballots may be received through the mail by June 14 if they were postmarked by June 7.
- 22,081 ballots have been tabulated.
- Result totals will vary each week depending on scanning activities and ballots that need to be duplicated due to a ballot barcode printing issue.
- Future ballot postings will occur every Tuesday by approximately 9:00 p.m. until all votes are tabulated before the statutory deadline of July 7, 2022.
- The ROV’s office is working to ensure that every vote is properly counted. They are focusing their efforts on completing this election carefully and accurately using the time dictated by law to tabulate the votes by July 7, 2022.
