Stockton, CA – Today, Miguel Villapudua, Chairman of the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors issued the following statement in response to the executive order on homeless encampments issued by Governor Gavin Newsom:

The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for the San Joaquin Valley as major heat risk returns this week. Certain libraries and community centers are operating as cooling centers to provide a safe, air-conditioned refuge for community members seeking relief from the heat.

The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters (ROV) issued the following notice in accordance with the provisions of the Election Laws of the State of California, that on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, there will be a Presidential General Election for the following offices:
