Stockton, CA – The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has approved a plan to launch a countywide high school internship program following the successful completion of a pilot effort this summer. This initiative, brought forward and led by Supervisor Robert Rickman with the assistance of the County’s Human Resources Department in partnership with local nonprofit San Joaquin A+, placed four Tracy high school students in paid internships with the Public Defender’s Office.

San Joaquin County, CA - This summer, the San Joaquin County (County) and City of Stockton (City) Departments of Public Works are teaming up to launch major infrastructure improvements along Benjamin Holt Drive, one of Stockton’s busiest and most vital community corridors.

Stockton, CA – The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved emergency measures to help residents clear the backlog of household waste as Republic Services reached an agreement to end its labor strike and restore regular trash collection. Thanks to the Board’s response, residents will be able to drop off residential trash free of charge at the County landfill and transfer station. The temporary waste voucher program will be available through Sunday, July 27, 2025, to support residents as full service resumes.

Grant funding is available for CBOs/NCOs based and providing services in San Joaquin County. A new cloud-based grant management system will be used for application submittal, evaluation, and reporting. Portal opens July 1 and closes July 31.
