Earlier this week, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Housing and Urban Development announced a first ever “Treatment First” toolkit to address addiction and homelessness. National experts, including San Joaquin County Health Care Services (SJCHCS) Director, Genevieve Valentine, were among 40 experts nationwide to help develop the Best Practices Toolkit: Addressing Homelessness and Addiction through “Treatment First.”

Registrar of VotersAugust 12, 2026
The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters will conduct a randomized alphabet drawing to determine the order in which candidates’ names will appear on the ballot for the November 3, 2026 General Election. The San Joaquin County drawing occurs at the same time as the drawing conducted by the California Secretary of State. Pursuant to the California Elections Code, certain contests follow the statewide randomized alphabet established by the Secretary of State, while others follow the County drawing.
