The newly expanded Recorder-County Clerk satellite office in Lathrop now serves as an authorized U.S. Passport Acceptance Facility, offering both passport application processing and photo services. After consultation with the walnut industry, the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's Office declares the completion of the 2025 walnut harvest. This establishes the beginning of the San Joaquin County “Walnut Buying Period”. Walnuts that have not been dried or processed shall not be sold to, provided to, purchased by, or received by a non-processing walnut buying operation except during the Walnut Buying Period.
