  • $2 million for the Acampo Innovation Drainage Project Phase B, to promote holistic, sustainable, and inclusive approaches to water management in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta and to maximize resilience and benefits for future investment in water infrastructure.
  • $1.3 million for a Tiny Home Village (10 tiny homes) to provide housing for individuals receiving behavioral health services on the SJ BeWell campus who are housing insecure and at-risk of homelessness.
  • $1.3 million for Safety-Net Clinical Equipment Modernization for SJ Health. The request will modernize exam room equipment, expand diagnostic capacity, strengthen vaccine storage infrastructure, and provide installation and integration of vital sign monitoring systems, and portable generators to improve emergency preparedness.

“San Joaquin County is committed to making thoughtful, forward-looking investments that strengthen our infrastructure, enhance public safety, and expand access to essential services,” said Sonny Dhaliwal, Chair of the San Joaquin Board of Supervisors. “These funding requests reflect our shared commitment to building more resilient communities, modernizing critical systems, and improving quality of life for our residents. We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with our Federal lawmakers in hopes of bringing important resources back to San Joaquin County.”

The Congress is expected to submit their selected projects to the House and Senate Appropriations Committees in the coming months for consideration as part of the Fiscal Year 2027 Federal budget process.
