Stockton, CA - The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters (ROV) announced their comprehensive plan for reporting the Statewide Special Election results on November 4, 2025.

On Election Day, polls will close at 8:00 P.M. Starting at 8 P.M., the ROV's office will begin reporting the results for Vote-by-Mail (VBM) ballots received through Saturday November 1, 2025, as well as all Early Voting ballots. This initial release of results will provide a snapshot of the early voting period, reflecting the choices of those who voted ahead of Election Day.

To ensure the public and stakeholders are informed in real-time, the ROV will update the election results every two hours until all in-person ballots cast on Election Day are counted. These updates are designed to provide a clear and accurate picture of the voting trends and outcomes as they develop.

Recognizing the importance of keeping the community informed beyond Election Night, the ROV's office will provide the next update on Friday November 7 by 7 P.M., then subsequent updates on the counting process on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday by 7 P.M. These updates will continue until the office has completed the canvass of the election. This process includes verifying and counting all remaining VBM ballots, provisional ballots, and any other ballots requiring additional verification to ensure every vote is counted. The ROV plans to certify the Statewide Special Election results on December 2, 2025.
