Stockton, CA — The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors has approved the creation of a new Countywide Cold Case Task Force, a collaborative, multi-agency initiative spearheaded by District Attorney Ron Freitas and Sheriff Pat Withrow. The task force will be dedicated to solving the County's more than 600 unsolved cases, including homicides, missing persons with suspicious circumstances, and sexual assaults.

Stockton, CA - At its Tuesday meeting, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors unanimously appointed Genevieve G. Valentine as Director of Health Care Services, making permanent the interim leadership role she has held since 2024.

Stockton, CA - San Joaquin County has named longtime public servant, Concepcion Gayotin, as the County's new Director of Purchasing and Support Services. Gayotin brings more than three decades experience to the role both in the private and public sector, including the last year in which she has served as the Department's Interim Director.
