Voter Registration Deadline Approaching on May 18

Stockton, CA - Monday, May 18, 2026, is the last day to register to vote, or update your voter registration information for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election. Residents are encouraged to register at the website https://registertovote.ca.gov or pick-up a voter registration card at local post offices or the San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters Office (ROV) located at 44 North San Joaquin Street, Third Floor, Suite 350, Stockton, CA 95202. In order to be a registered voter, the voter registration form must be filled out completely, signed and postmarked by May 18, 2026, or hand-delivered to the ROV’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on May 18, 2026.

Conditional Voter Registration (CVR) begins Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Eligible residents who missed the May 18, 2026 registration deadline may complete a new conditional voter registration form available at the ROV’s Office from May 19 - June 2, 2026 (Election Day) and at the polls on Election Day. All address updates and party changes can be done immediately allowing you to cast an in person non provisional ballot. Upon completion of the form, a ROV representative will provide the individual with a CVR provisional ballot which must be voted at the time and location it is received. Once the conditional registration form has been processed and eligibility is verified the CVR ballot is counted. Residents may check their voter registration status at My Voter Status - California Secretary of State.
