San Joaquin County Begins Mailing Ballots for June 2, 2026 Statewide Primary Election

Stockton, CA - The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters (ROV) has officially began mailing Vote by Mail (VBM) ballots to all registered voters for the June 2, 2026 Statewide Primary Election, marking the start of the County’s voting period.

Voters now have multiple convenient options to cast their ballots between May 4 - June 2, 2026:

  • By Mail: Return your ballot using the free postage-paid envelope. Ballots must be postmarked by June 2, 2026 in order to be counted.
  • Ballot Drop Boxes: Deposit your ballot at any of the County’s 27 secure drop box locations. Voters are encouraged to visit this LINK to see hours and locations of ballot drop boxes.
  • In-Person Early Voting: Visit the ROV Office, 44 N. San Joaquin Street, Suite 350, Stockton during regular office hours between May 4 – June 1, 2026. The ROV Office will also be open for voting until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30.
  • Election Day Voting: Cast your ballot at any of the County’s 130 polling locations the ROV office or drop box locations until 8:00 p.m. on June 2, 2026.
  • Drive-Through Drop Off: Available outside the San Joaquin County Administration Building, 44 N. San Joaquin Street, Stockton. Opens on Election Day at 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Election Night.

Voters are strongly encouraged to return their ballots early and remember to sign the blue Vote-by-Mail return envelope to ensure their votes are counted.
