Stockton, CA - Today, the San Joaquin County Auditor-Controller's office announced the launch of a new whistleblower and fraud reporting hotline. This service is available to both County employees and the general public as a way to report any incidents of suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse of County resources.
“San Joaquin County is committed to promoting accountability, transparency, and protecting public resources,” said Paul Canepa, Chair of the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors. “We hope this new service will encourage more individuals to speak up and report any suspicious activity that may compromise the County's operations or the public trust.”
The EthicsPoint system is hosted entirely by a third-party provider to ensure confidentiality and complete anonymity, empowering individuals to report concerns without fear of retaliation. Incident reports will be received by the independent provider before being routed to the Auditor-Controller's Internal Audit Division. Reports will then be investigated, with routing to other County departments, or outside agencies when necessary.
Reports can be submitted any time of day in the following ways:
- Toll-free phone: (833) 718-4549
- Online at csj.ethicspoint.com or link on County main webpage at www.sjgov.org
