Manteca, CA – On Tuesday, April 11, 2023, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office lifted the mandatory evacuation order for the residents of Airport Court. The area has been downgraded to evacuation warning status, which will remain in effect due to continued high-water levels and potential folding along the San Joaquin River. Water levels are anticipated to remain high due to projected snow melt over the next several months.
“The Office of Emergency Services, in strong partnership with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, the Department of Water Resources, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department, and our partners from the Reclamation Districts, will continue to monitor the South San Joaquin River,” said Tiffany Heyer, Director of the San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services. “Communication is critical and we encourage residents along the South San Joaquin River to know their zones and to be prepared should future evacuations become necessary.”
The mandatory evacuation order at Haven Acres Mobile Home Park is still in place due to high levels of flooding and the electricity outage at that location.
