Your Voting Options

Every voter will be mailed a ballot. You can request a replacement ballot online, in our office or at your Polling Place. There are four (4) ways to vote, use the links below for more information:

  • Vote By Mail - Receive a ballot in the mail
  • In Person at Registration Office - Cast your ballot in person at our Office
  • In Person at Polling Place  - Cast your ballot in person at a Polling Place
  • Accessible Vote-by-Mail Ballots - Access your Vote-by-Mail Ballot

OPTION 1 | VOTE-BY-MAIL

Every voter will be mailed a ballot.

To request a replacement Vote-by-Mail ballot, fill out the online Vote-by-Mail Application, complete and return a  Paper Vote by Mail Application, or you can contact the Registrar of Voters’ Office at (209) 468-2890 or email vbm@sjgov.org

Ballots can be returned by mail, in person at a Polling Place or at one of the available drop box locations near you.

Track your ballot. Find out if we have received your ballot, if it was counted, and if not why it wasn’t counted.

OPTION 2 | VOTE IN-PERSON AT THE REGISTRAR’S OFFICE WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT FOR YOU

You may pick up a Vote-by-Mail ballot or get a replacement ballot

You may Vote on an accessible touch screen voting machine
at the Registrar’s Office, located at 44 N. San Joaquin St., Stockton.

The San Joaquin County Registrar of Voters’ Office is open Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm.

On Election Day, the Registrar’s Office will be open 7am to 8pm.

OPTION 3 | VOTE IN-PERSON AT A POLLING PLACE

Election Day   7:00 am - 8:00 pm

You may Vote on an accessible touch screen voting machine at the Polling Place.

On Election Day, all Polling Places will be open 7 AM to 8 PM.

OPTION 4 | ACCESSIBLE VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS

For the Election, all voters can use a Remote Accessible Vote by Mail Ballot to safely vote at home. Ballots are compatible with screen-reader technology for voters with disabilities. Once the ballot is marked, it needs to be printed out and returned to the Office of the Registrar of Voters. Please read the instructions carefully. Ballots cannot be submitted online or by email.

Ballots returned in person must be returned by 8:00 PM Election Day.

Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the office of the Registrar of Voters office no later than 7 days after Election Day to be counted.

Our electronic voting machines and scanners are not connected to the Internet. We use strict chain of custody procedures. You are welcome to be an observer.
