The county level LAAC is an advisory committee to the county elections office. LAAC members serve at the discretion of the County Registrar of Voters (ROV). The mission of the county level LAAC is to advise and assist the ROV with implementation of federal and state laws related to electoral process access - by voters with limited English proficiency (LEP) - so that all persons who vote can understand the voting process.

This includes activities to support the implementation of federal and state laws related to language accessibility, making recommendations regarding programs and policy, and the review of translated material for accuracy.
