Agricultural Advisory Board

The Agricultural Advisory Board provides for citizen input in policy areas of developing agriculture and agriculture-related planning objectives and implementation of objectives in the best interest of San Joaquin County. The Board makes recommendations on matters of concern to agriculture, including support or opposition to State and Federal Legislation, promotion of agriculture related activities in the County, and assessment of local laws and policy affecting agriculture. The Board may appoint, convene and participate in the Agricultural Grievance Committee for the resolution of disputes relating to the San Joaquin County Right to Farm Ordinance.

Twenty-One (21) Members and two (2) Ex-Officio members to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
