Children and Youth Services
A passionate commitment to provide intensive and comprehensive mental health services to help families keep their children and youth safe and healthy, in school and out of trouble, in partnership with local public and private agencies in San Joaquin County.
The following services are available to all Medi-Cal beneficiaries (under age 21) to reduce mental health symptoms and behaviors:
- Initial telephone screening to determine level of need
- Comprehensive assessment
- Parent/Caregiver and child participate in planning appropriate treatment goals
- Individual: Clinician and child work together
- Family: Clinician works with family and child together and separately as needed
- Group*: Clinician works at the same time with several children who have similar symptoms and behaviors
- Psychiatric: Psychiatric assessment, on-going medication monitoring and support
- Case Management*: Child and family are connected to community based organizations for further support
- Crisis: Assessment and linkage to possible immediate services
