Vacaville man pleads guilty to sexual crime against a minor

San Joaquin County District Attorney, Ron Freitas announces Andre Henix of Vacaville, has pled guilty to a single count of 288.7(a), (Sexual Penetration: Victim Under 10 Years of Age, Felony) and is scheduled to be sentenced to 25 years to life.

Henix was found guilty of engaging in inappropriate sexual behavior with the victim, who was 10 years old at the time of the incident. A family member discovered the inappropriate behavior and the police were contacted immediately. Henix was arrested shortly thereafter, and forensic evidence further corroborated the victim's account.

"I commend Deputy District Attorney Carrie Lawrence for her dedication to securing justice in this case. The outcome marks our commitment to protecting children from harm. Crimes against children will be met with the full force of the law by my Office”, says District Attorney Ron Freitas. “I also extend my gratitude to the Stockton Police Department and Chief McFadden for their efforts in securing an arrest, investigating the case fully, and obtaining all necessary forensic evidence. Lastly, my heartfelt thanks to the Honorable Richard Mallett for his wise and compassionate oversight of this case.”

Next Court date: May 13, 2024, in Department 6D at 1:30 p.m. for sentencing.
