Community Infrastructure Engineering

The Community Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) team provides administrative, technical, and engineering support for utility services provided by the County. CIE manages more than 100 dependent special districts governed by the Board of Supervisors, most of which provide water, sewer, storm drainage, and/or street lighting services. CIE’s primary efforts include rate setting, capital improvement planning, project design and delivery, capacity analysis, and budget development for these districts.
