Residential Recovery Services

San Joaquin County Substance Use Services has many different providers to meet the residential recovery needs of our community. The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria clinical assessment will determine the level of care necessary for an individual based on their needs. The length of stay in residential services is continually assessed through the ASAM criteria which allows for individualized care based on individual needs. Men’s Residential Recovery Services

Serves: Adult, Men Only
Services Offered: Withdrawal Management and High and Low Intensity Residential Services as well as the Nurturing Parenting program for interested participants.
Length of Stay: based on individual needs of participant.
(This is a county operated facility.)

Women’s Residential Recovery Services

Serves: Adult, Women, Perinatal (Pregnant and Postpartum) Women and Women with Children
Services Offered: Withdrawal Management and High and Low Intensity Residential Services as well as the Nurturing Parenting program of interested participants. As needed and appropriate children can live on-site with their mothers.
Length of Stay: based on individual needs of participant.

Serves: Adults, Men and Women
Services Offered: High and Low Intensity Residential Services
Length of Stay: based on individual needs of participant.
(This is a contracted facility.)

Redwood Family Treatment Center

Serves: Adult, Women, Women with Children
Services Offered: Withdrawal Management and High and Low Intensity Residential. As needed and appropriate children can live on-site with their mothers.
Length of Stay: based on individual needs of participant.
(This is a contracted facility, outside of San Joaquin County.)

Nirvana Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program

Men’s Residential Treatment
Serves: Adult, Men
Services Offered: Low Intensity Residential.
Length of Stay: based on individual needs of participant.
(This is a contracted facility, outside of San Joaquin County.)

Services Offered: Co-Occurring (Mental Health and Substance Use) Residential Services.
Length of Stay: based on individual needs of participant, but up to 6 months.
