STOCKTON, CA – Supervisor Robert Rickman rallied the San Joaquin Board of Supervisors at its meeting yesterday to oppose the latest round of rate hikes proposed by PG&E. The Board voted to oppose these rate hikes and encouraged the public to reach out to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to express how the recent and proposed rate hikes will impact their budgets and livelihoods.

STOCKTON, CA – The San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved the creation of a Community Assessment, Response and Engagement (CARE) team and program to be headed by the County’s probation department today in response to the on-going crisis of homelessness in our community.

STOCKTON, CA - At its Board meeting on Tuesday, January 24, 2024, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved $10,000 in funding to the Animal Protection League (APL) of Stockton to support their new mobile spay and neuter clinic that will serve all cities and surrounding areas of San Joaquin County.

STOCKTON, CA – At its meeting today, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved the use of $50,000 in District One funds to support the renovation of the Aspen Cottage at the Children’s Home of Stockton (CHS). Once renovated the Aspen Cottage will provide six additional beds for transitional age youth (TAY) ages 18-24, many of whom have been part of the foster care system and are at risk of homelessness.

The Sacramento County Superior Court denied the Department of Water Resources for an order “validating” bond resolutions that would have financed the Delta Tunnel project known as the Delta Conveyance Project.
