The San Joaquin County current year property tax roll is available online or by phone for inquiry or to make a payment by credit card or check. This service for prior year taxes is not available by phone. Payment plans may not be started or paid online or by phone. Please have your FEE PARCEL NUMBER (APN/AAN to search for annual, supplemental, and escaped bills) or ASSESSMENT NUMBER (ASMT) from your tax bill(s) ready to enter. When searching for Unsecured taxes, use the ASSASSMENT NUMBER. You will receive a transaction number when you finish (see disclaimer).
If you pay your taxes online or by phone, a convenience fee is charged in addition to the property tax amount paid. Convenience fees are paid to the service provider, not San Joaquin County.

Just before completing your transaction, the amount of the taxes and the cost of the convenience fee will be stated. You will have the option NOT to complete the transaction at that time.

Not all accounts are appropriate for electronic payments. Check with your financial institution before submitting a payment. The limit for an individual E-Check payment is $500,000. Although a transaction number is issued, if the transaction fails for any reason, it will not be re-deposited and a return fee will apply. If the payment is returned after the delinquent date, the Tax Collector must also charge the penalties required by law.
The Tax Collector does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of websites or phone systems. If payment is not received by the delinquent date, the taxpayer is responsible for penalties required by law.

Enter the 8-digit PARCEL NUMBER (to search for both annual, supplemental, and escaped bills) or 12-digit ASSESSMENT NUMBER from your tax bill and click the "Submit" button. When searching for Unsecured taxes, use the ASSASSMENT NUMBER. A list of records that match your search criteria will be displayed.
STEP 2: Click on the underlined assessment (Asmt) number you wish to view or pay. Detailed information about the assessment will be displayed.
STEP 3: Click on the checkbox under the amount due for the installment(s) you wish to pay and click the "Add to cart" button.
STEP 4: Follow the subsequent on-screen instructions for payment.
