Our Fiscal team is the financial heart of the Public Works Department and they are led by the Management Services Administrator. The team oversees all activities related to department finances and funding. Their key tasks include managing the department's cost accounting system to track project expenses. They also oversee invoicing for services like water, handle incoming payments, and process payments for new equipment and services. They are responsible for reconciling accounts with the county's general ledger and preparing financial reports for various county and state offices.
Another part of the Fiscal team is Personnel and Payroll. The Personnel team members work with the County’s Human Resources Division helping Public Works staff with everything from training to hiring. They are also the go-to team for all non-payroll HR matters, including coordinating new hires, processing paperwork, managing position transfers, and handling leave of absence requests.
Finally, the Payroll team ensures all employees are paid correctly and on time. Their duties include processing the bi-weekly payroll and handling all related tasks, such as updating direct deposit information, correcting payroll errors, and auditing employee records.
