The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office Unified Court Services Division provides court security to the five court facilities in San Joaquin County. This includes the management of in-custody inmates brought to court from the county jail and juvenile facilities, all temporary inmate holding cells, courtroom security as monitored by Court Bailiffs, and monitoring the overall security of each courthouse.

The Stockton County Courthouse with 20 courtrooms is the largest court facility in San Joaquin County and serves as the counties central court facility. Lodi and Manteca both with 2 courtrooms and inmate holding areas each serve North and South County respectively. Family Court in Stockton and Juvenile Court in French Camp complete the active court facilities in this county.

The Sheriff’s Unified Court Services Division operates with a total allocation of 44 full-time and 47 part-time positions. This includes 1 Captain, 1 Lieutenant, 5 Sergeants, 33 full-time Deputies, 4 Correctional Officers, and 47 part-time Deputies. A private non-sworn security company is utilized to monitor entry screening and after hours courthouse security.
