Grant Line Road has experienced increased traffic due to large industrial development in the region.  The objective of the Grant Line Road Corridor Study is to improve Grant Line Road between Interstate 5 and the City of Tracy to increase public safety and decrease congestion.

San Joaquin County began investigating several options to address the congestion and safety issues, which included widening Grant Line Road and/or installing intersection improvements.  Three open houses were held to provide project information and receive feedback from community members about the proposed preliminary concepts.  A summary of each open house meeting is included below:

The Draft CEQA Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration for the study was released on Wednesday, August 3, 2016.  You can view the document by clicking the link below:

Draft CEQA Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration

Based upon input received during the Community Open House No. 3 on August 18, 2016, the County extended the deadline to submit formal comments on the Draft CEQA Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration to Thursday, September 22, 2016.  The project team has developed a new alternative for the Study based upon technical analysis and community feedback.  This new alternative will be presented at an upcoming Community Open House on Wednesday, April 5, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Banta Elementary school, located at 22345 El Rancho Road, Tracy, CA 95304.  Community members are encouraged to drop by any time between 6:00 and 7:30 p.m. to learn about the new alternative and ask questions of project team members.
