ALLOWABLE CHARGES FOR EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICES

San Joaquin County limits the rates that emergency ambulance services may charge patients as a condition of being awarded an exclusive operating agreement. Authorized rates for emergency ambulance services are set by the San Joaquin Board of Supervisors by resolution, or agreement, or competitive process. The emergency ambulance service providers subject to authorized rates for emergency responses are American Medical Response (AMR), Escalon Community Ambulance (ECA), Manteca District Ambulance (MDA), and the Ripon Consolidated Fire District (RCFD).
