How To Pay Property Taxes

Property tax payment online and by phone will be unavailable on July 1st due to the annual update for the new fiscal year. The service will be available again in mid-July. If you have questions, please call (209) 468-2133.


If taxpayers are unable to pay their 2019 second installment due to the COVID-19 pandemic they may be eligible for relief from penalties, costs, and interest by filing a   claim for refund form. Taxpayers must demonstrate economic hardship or was otherwise unable to pay their 2019 second installment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

In an effort to continue to support the community and our employees, we recommend alternate payment methods such as   paying online, by phone (866) 954-1829,   mailing your payment, or using our   drop box.

Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express credit cards, debit cards, and E-Checks accepted.
Important Notice

If you pay your taxes online or by phone, a convenience fee is charged by the service provider in addition to the property tax amount paid. E-Check payments are free. Just before completing your transaction, the amount of the taxes and the cost of the convenience fee will be stated. You will have the option NOT to complete the transaction at that time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the San Joaquin County Administration Building and Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office is closed to the public.  Please pay online, by phone, or mail your payment.  We also encourage cash to be exchanged for a check or money order and mailed to our Office.
