ELECTION NIGHT WORKER INFORMATION AND APPLICATION

    Election Officer OVERVIEW

On Election Day, the ROV relies on hundreds of citizens to staff polling places across San Joaquin County and to ensure their smooth, efficient, and safe operation. Each polling place is typically staffed by 2-4 Clerks with a single Inspector onsite to provide oversight. Field inspectors typically oversee the operation of 3-5 polling places on Election Day and work the Inspectors and Clerks at each location in a roving fashion to provide support and guidance.

On Election Day, polling places are open to voters from 7:00am until 8:00pm. To allow for set-up and closing of the polling place, poll workers typically work from 6:00am until 9:00PM on Election Day. Due to their specific responsibilities, Inspectors will likely work additional time.
