Arriola is recognized along with eight other recipients from California, but he is the only 2021 award recipient from the California Central Valley.

    Stockton - District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar announced that on Friday March 12, 2021, Francisco Jimenez, age 23, pled guilty to a manslaughter charge as a result of selling illegal drugs to a young man who subsequently overdosed and died. Mr. Jimenez was sentenced by the Honorable Ronald J. Northup to 4 years and 4 months in state prison.
