Woman Arraigned on Murder Charges for Infant Death

Today, District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar announced defendant Ebonie Allen, 23, was arraigned for murder in the death of her infant.

According to California Highway Patrol- Stockton, a woman arrived via AMR transport to Lodi Memorial Hospital on July 20, 2022, from an encampment located along State Route 99 and Pine Street. Hospital personnel related to law enforcement the woman had given birth. Lodi Fire Department responded back to the encampment and located a deceased infant. Due to the location of the encampment, California Highway Patrol Valley Division Investigative Services (ISU) initiated the investigation. 

The defendant has been remanded to custody. She will return to court on August 5, at 8:30 a.m., for further arraignment.
