Sacramento Woman Charged with Overdose Death of Lodi Teen

Stockton – Today, District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar announced that defendant Cecilia Rose Silva, 18, from Sacramento was arraigned on the following charges: voluntary manslaughter, child abuse and endangerment, and the transport and sell of narcotics or controlled substance.

“It is imperative that we empower parents and community members to have a conversation with our youth about the instantaneous and deadly consequences of fentanyl,” said District Attorney Tori Verber Salazar. “My office will continue to prosecute those who manufacture, distribute and sell narcotics, especially those who distribute to our youth.”

The defendant is being held on $1 million bail and returns to court on March 8, 2022, for further arraignment and bail review.
