CASE UPDATE: Shunichi Fujishima Pleads to Felony Violations

On August 27th, 2019, Defendant Shunichi Fujishima entered pleas to felony violations of Penal Code section 288.5(a), Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 14, and 288.2(a)(2), Sending/Exhibiting Harmful Matter to a Minor. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 7, 2019, to serve 12 years in state prison.

On January 10, 2019, Stockton Police Child Abuse / Sexual Assault detectives arrested Shunichi Fujishima, a 22-year-old man, in connection to having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a juvenile female. The relationship began when the juvenile was 12 and lasted until she was 13.

Fujishima was a swim coach at the Stockton Swim Club. Investigators are looking for possible additional victims and anyone that has information to this investigation.
