Funding Available for Public Safety, Gang and Narcotic Intervention and Prevention in San Joaquin County

STOCKTON - The San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office is pleased to announce another round of funding for local organizations who are implementing innovative strategies to combat the presence of drugs and gangs in our community. San Joaquin County has allocated up to $250,000 to be divided among selected organizations as part of the Public Safety, Gang and Narcotic Intervention and Prevention pilot project funding program.

An application is now available at www.sjgov.org/da/grantprop . Interested parties should submit the two-page preliminary application by March 15th. Application finalists will be invited to submit a secondary application, detailing how much funding they are requesting, along with a proposed budget.

The allocated funds represent a percentage of assets forfeited in San Joaquin County pursuant to Health and Safety Code 11469 et. seq.
