STOCKTON, CA - On Friday, August 10, 2018, Tyrone Keith McAllister, 18, was arraigned in San Joaquin County Court. The San Joaquin County District Attorney's office has charged McAllister with felony violations of Penal code section 664/211, Attempted Robbery and Penal code section 368(b)(1), Elder Abuse. All the charges have enhancements of Penal Code section 667.9, Violent Crime on a Vulnerable Victim, as the victim is over 65 years old.

On Monday, August 6, 2018, the Defendant, along with a juvenile participant, was captured on security camera assaulting a 71 year old male victim. Defendants are seen walking toward the victim and exchanging words before following and attacking the victim. The suspects then walked away, and returned to assault him a second time.

During Friday's arraignment, McAllister was appointed a Public Defender. He will return to San Joaquin County court on August 17, 2018, at 1:30pm, Department 8B. Bail is set at $300,000. A criminal protective order was issued prohibiting contact with the victim. This case is being investigated by the Manteca Police Department.
