Municipal Advisory Council

The MAC shall consist of seven members, each of whom shall be a resident of the unincorporated area of Thornton. Members of the MAC are appointed by the Board of Supervisors, and shall serve without compensation at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors.

The powers and duties of the MAC are hereby limited to: Advising the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors, and the San Joaquin County Planning Commission on such matters relating to the interests and welfare of the residents, including, but not limited to, advice on matters of public health, safety, welfare, public works, and planning.
