The Agricultural Commissioner enforces the provisions of the California Food and Agricultural Code for the protection of the public's health, safety and welfare, and to promote and protect the agricultural industry. The Agriculture Office consists of two separate divisions: Agricultural Commissioner and Weights & Measures. The Agricultural Commissioner, who is appointed by the County Board of Supervisors, directs the office. Tim Pelican is the Agricultural Commissioner / Sealer of Weights and Measures.
