REQUIREMENTS

Each of the following five requirement categories must be met prior to doing business with the County.

 

STANDARD DOCUMENTS REQUIREMENT

  • The standard Terms and Conditions document is applicable to all County bids, quotes or proposals. Individual requests will specify when the awarded vendor must comply with "Insurance Requirements". A bidder's signature on the bid, quote, proposal document signifies that the Bidder is familiar with and will comply with ALL the requirements of these documents. The County of San Joaquin shall not be responsible for a vendor's failure to comply with the requirements of the Standard Documents or any other requirement or specification.
  • Any person submitting bids, quotes or proposals using information downloaded from the Internet is solely responsible for obtaining any addendums to advertised bids or proposals.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENT

  • Contractor shall not commence work until he has obtained all insurance as required and such insurance has been approved by the County.

  • San Joaquin County, its officers, agents and employees are to be named as Additional Insured and insurance policy shall contain provisions that such policy may not be canceled or reduced except after thirty (30) day written notice to the County.

  • Copies of insurance certificates shall be filed with the Purchasing Agent.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT
  • In accepting any contract with the County, the contractor makes the following certification, required by Section 1861 of the Labor Code:
    "I am aware of the provisions of Section 3700 of the Labor Code which require every employer to be insured against liability for workmen's compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of the code, and I will comply with such provisions before commencing the performance of the work of this contract."
