December 2012 This section is updated every December as
holiday tree handling varies from year to year. San Joaquin County's
Lovelace Facility in Manteca and the
North County Facility in Lodi
take holiday trees free of charge after December 25th and through
the second week in January. Trees must be stripped of all ornaments
and tinsel if they are to be recycled. Flocked trees and trees
contaminated with tinsel or other materials will not be recycled or taken
for free and will be regarded as waste. Other holiday tree collection,
disposal and recycling methods vary by City and are listed below. |
Recycling Locations 2012-2013: |
Escalon
|

The Escalon Fire District will pick up trees on January 5, 2013.
Place your tree in the street at the curb by 6:00 am. Trees may be cut into
sections and placed in the green waste container.
Make sure that green waste container lid will close.

Lathrop
|
|
Tree recycling take place Dec 26, 2012 through Jan 4, 2013 on regular service days.
Trees taller than 6 feet high or wide must be cut in half. Flocked trees
will be collected but not recycled.
Place trees at the curb next to waste and recycling bins.

Lodi
|
|
The Lodi Boy Scouts will pick up trees for recycling on January 5, 2013.
Place trees at the curb by 6 a.m.
Monetary donations are appreciated for this annual fundraiser.
Trees may be cut into sections and placed in the green waste container.

The City of
Manteca will
pick up holiday trees during January 1-14, 2013.
Place trees curbside on your normal trash collection day. |

Ripon
|
|
Trees may be placed in the street near the curb for collection until
February 1, 2013.
Please cut trees so that they are no taller than four feet.

Stockton
|
|
Place
your Christmas tree next to your waste and recycling carts for collection on
your regularly scheduled pick-up day.
Trees pick-up will operate only for the first three weeks after Christmas.
Trees longer than six feet must be cut in half.
Flocked trees will be collected but not recycled

January 2013 on regular collection days.
