Hazardous Waste Consolidation Facility
Location
Our Permanent Household Hazardous Waste Consolidation Facility
is located on a two-acre parcel at
7850 R.A. Bridgeford Street, Stockton,
California, adjacent to the Air Metro Business Park at the
Stockton Metropolitan Airport. For directions and maps, click on one of the

The facility includes a 5,300 square foot split-face cement
block building, a parking area, loading dock, and storage bins. The facility
handles approximately 6,000 residents and businesses annually. The facility is open
to the public three days per week, Thursday through
Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Business waste from Conditionally Exempt
Small Quantity Generators (CESQGs) will be accepted by appointment only. Call

What Materials Will Be Accepted?
Commonly collected household chemicals, products, and
containers that are normally found in the home and similar wastes from
Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators
(CESQGs). Some types of wastes that will be accepted are:
- Paints
- Primers
- Solvents
- Varnishes
- Thermometers
- Asbestos (Non-friable. Must be double-bagged or
double-wrapped in heavy plastic)
- Anti-freeze
- Transmission Fluids
- Motor Oil
- Pool Chemicals
- Batteries (Rechargeable & Nicad)
- Pesticides
- Cleaners
- Strippers
- Medical Waste (Sharps must be in heavy plastic container)

serves residents throughout San Joaquin County.
Construction and Design
The San Joaquin County Household Hazardous Waste Facility
opened its doors to the public in August of 2003. Construction costs were approximately
$1,300,000. Funding for the project was provided through the County
Service Area #53 (CSA #53) budget reserves.
The facility was designed by EBA Wastechnologies, an engineering and
environmental consulting firm with experience in the design of household
hazardous waste facilities.

provides information in consumer friendly language on many of these substances
and their potential health effects. For more technical information, users can
launch a search for a product or ingredient in TOXNET from the Product Page in
the database.
