HISTORICAL PRESERVATION PROGRAM
 


The four major objectives of the Historical Preservation Program

  • Publish complete history of the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, from years 1850 to 2000, in book entitled, FROM SHIELD TO STAR
     
  • Create a monument dedicated to deputies who lost their lives in the line of duty
     
  • Develop a museum to exhibit historical memorabilia for public interest and education
     
  • Acquire, maintain, and display a 1946 Pontiac, which was the first county owned patrol car.
