GENERAL GUIDELINES
A visitor may only visit once daily at any of the three facilities.
Only three visitors per inmate visit. (This includes infants and children.)
No eating, drinking or smoking is allowed in any of the visiting rooms.
If a visitor leaves the visiting room once the visit has started, they will not
be permitted to return.
No handbags, diaper bags, strollers, infant seats or other large containers may
be taken into the visiting room. These articles must be kept outside the facility.
A limited number of lockers are available to secure small personal items. A key
in exchange for ID may be obtained from the visiting officer. Visiting staff will
not be responsible for these items. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from
visiting.
Visitors under the influence of alcohol and or drugs will be excluded from visiting.
Visitors are subject to search of their persons and effects.
Visitors serving probation, parole, or other conditional release from custody, may
be required to provide written permission from their supervising agency in order
to visit. (P.C. 4571)
Visitors convicted of a felony, on parole or probation or who have been released
from any San Joaquin County custody facility within the past thirty days will be
excluded from visiting. (P.C. 4571)
Visitors with active warrants shall not be allowed to visit and may be detained
and/or arrested. Documented proof of a scheduled court date to appear on the warrant
will not be sufficient.
Visitors shown to be of harmful effect to the inmate, or who constitute a threat
to the security of the institution shall be excluded from visiting.
The Facility Commander may suspend visiting privileges of an individual member of
the public indefinitely.
An officer may suspend visiting privileges of an individual member of the public
for one visit per incident only.
Visitors not approved for a visit or having a visit terminated, will be told the
reason for the exclusion or termination of the visit.
Appeals of the suspension or termination will be directed to the Duty Sergeant for
review and forwarded to the Facility Commander.

SPECIFIC GUIDELINES
The following items are required:
• Appropriate clothing is a must.
• California
Identification is preferred.
• Minors must be accompanied by parents
or legal guardians (with proper documentations).
• Visitors must sign up at least one–half
hour before the actual visit.
• There is limited seating for each visit and sign-ups
are first come, first served.
• Up to 3 persons may visit an inmate at a time. (This
includes infants and children)
• Further information regarding visits should be
directed to staff at each facility.
• Communication with inmates shall take place
within the visiting area only (Penal Code 4570)
The following items are not allowed:
• No smoking material in the facility.
• No weapons (P.C. 4574)
• No food in the
visiting rooms.
• No purses, briefcases, diaper / diaper bags or strollers.
• No pagers or cellular phones.
• No drugs or alcohol. (P.C. 4573, 4573.5, 4573.6, 4573.8
& 4973.9)
• No pocket knifes or any other knifes.
• No cosmetic bags, nail clippers or files.
• No lighters or matches in the facility.
• No cameras or recording devices.

VISITING
RULES
Identification
All visitors will be required to provide current and valid photo ID. If the visitor is unable to do so,
no visit will be allowed. (P.C. 4570.5)
- Only the following forms of identification will be accepted:
1) Driver’s license from any state (temporary driver’s licenses will NOT be allowed)
2) Identification card
from any state (temporary state IDs will NOT be allowed)
3) Military ID card
4)
Immigration & Naturalization card
5) Permanent Resident ID with photo
6) Mexico Matricula Consular ID card
7) Passport or Official Foreign ID
(All of the above
require photograph or fingerprints and have issue dates and expiration dates)
Minors Visiting
Any persons under the age of eighteen may visit only
when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (a court order will be required for proof of guardianship and
a birth certificate will also be required).
A. Unescorted minors will not visit under any circumstances,
and they are not to remain
unsupervised pending or during your visit.
B. If arrangements cannot be made for their immediate
removal, the visit for the person who
brought them will be cancelled.
C. If an unescorted minor is located on the compound
after a visit has started, the visit will be
terminated.
D. Any questions or clarification should be directed
to the Duty Sergeant.
Visitors with small children are responsible to prevent the children from disturbing
other people in the visiting area. Visitors must keep their children at their table
or their visit may be terminated.
Contraband

All visitors, male or female, must be dressed appropriately. No suggestive or revealing
attire will be acceptable. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from visiting.

Short skirts (the skirt should reach the wearers knees)
Bare midriff
No tank tops
No spaghetti strap tops
No sleeveless shirts
Sheer fabrics o Exposed undergarments
Gang related attire (example: all red or blue shirts, shoes,
belt, etc…)
Sports related attire
Coveralls or overalls
Jeans with holes
Hooded apparel / Sweatshirts
No hats
No jackets
No coats
Honor Farm
It is
the inmate’s responsibility to check the visiting list, which is posted every half-hour.
The officers will not locate an inmate for visiting. If the inmate has chosen to
attend class, church, sports programs, movies, etc., he or she has made that choice
voluntarily. If the inmate is at his / her work assignment, they will not be allowed
to visit. If the inmate fails to show up for any of these reasons, you may return
the next day to visit.
Honor Farm inmates may not receive money during visiting. Possession of any amount
of money will be grounds for disciplinary action against the inmate. Visitors may
contact the records clerk in the 24-hour lobby to place funds on an inmate’s account.
Excessive physical contact is not allowed. An inmate and visitor may:
• Embrace briefly at the beginning and end of the visit.
• Kiss briefly at the beginning and end of the visit.
• Hold hands on top of the table during the visit.

please read this official notification:
Pursuant to authority granted under California Penal Code Section
636, the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department has installed an
automatic device to monitor and record conversations on the inmate
visiting telephones.
Your use of the visiting room constitutes your knowledge and consent
to this monitoring and recording.
(A properly assigned Attorney/Religious Advisor/Physician visit is
not monitored or recorded).

DIRECTIONS |
From
Interstate 5, drive to French Camp, CA. French Camp is approximately
5 miles south of Stockton, CA. Take the Mathews Road exit and drive
westbound 1 mile. For Intake and Jail Visiting, turn right on Canlis
Blvd. Turn into the public parking area of the Facilities. For the
Honor Farm, continue west past Canlis Blvd. on Mathews Road to Wolfe
Road. Enter the public gate on Wolfe Road. |
