Veterans discharges (DD 214) are recorded without charge when presented by the discharged veteran. The recording process takes five working days, and the original is mailed back to the veteran. If the veteran needs certified copies in the interim, we can provide them at no cost. The veteran can come in or mail a request for an additional copy at any time and a certified copy will be provided at no cost.

If ordering by mail, the request must be signed and notarized.
