The Goal of the Divisions within the Department of Public Works
is to provide quality service to the Community and to enhance the Public's
quality of life by protecting their investment in the County's:
- 120-mile network of underground
facilities;
- 1,672 miles of roadway;
- 277 bridges;
- 364 minor structures;
- 5 solid waste facilities;
- 216 miles of project levees;
- 107 miles of channels;
- 100 special districts which provide
water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and street lighting services.
