To find out about the following Stormwater Program Public Involvement Activities, please call (209) 468-3073:

·         Storm Drain Stenciling – Stenciling storm drain catch basins is a terrific community service project for youth groups, students, businesses and interested individuals.

·         Waterway Clean-ups – Waterway clean-ups can be done through the Adopt-A-Stream program or as a one time community service project for youth groups, students, businesses and interested individuals.

·         Stormwater Presentations – Stormwater Staff attend many community events to inform members of the community regarding pollution problems and possible solutions.

·         School Program – Through an interactive presentation that targets the problems and possible solutions of our impaired waterways, students are shown the importance of keeping our water clean, the water cycle and how the storm drain system works. 

·         Stormwater Management – utilizes media (newspaper, radio & television) to deliver Pollution Prevention information regarding stormwater runoff issues, and potential solutions to pollution issues.

 


Business Outreach

Outreach materials are distributed to businesses through the internet Tips for Businesses and through site visits by Stormwater Staff.  If your organization would like to schedule a stormwater pollution prevention demonstration, call (209) 468-3073.
