02-Aug-07 Mosquito District Prepares Large Scale Spraying Operations
San Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District (District) is preparing to conduct additional large scale adult mosquito control in several metropolitan areas of the county. Ground and aerial equipment will be is used to treat identified locations.  See news release (pdf)

02-Aug-07 Governor Proclaims San Joaquin Emergency For WNV
The Governor "Proclaimed" San Joaquin County a disaster area due to actions and expenses related to the effort to control WNV.

  • 31-Jul-07  First San Joaquin County Death For 2007.  See news release (pdf)
    San Joaquin County Public Health Services announced today that an 86-year-old male living in the central area of San Joaquin County has died from complications due to West Nile Virus (WNV). This is the first reported WNV death of a San Joaquin County resident in 2007.
