Social Development Activities
Ropes
Course
This program utilizes an action learning design with
low-to-the-ground team projects. Participants are challenged to
think, plan, decide and cooperate throughout these initiatives to
become more aware of effective individual and team behaviors. While
operating as a team, the youths have an opportunity to connect with
each other, to build relationships, to accommodate diversities and
leverage individual strengths. These team challenges provide a
seriously FUN means to establish and refine the team's process.
Teams work together, reaching goals, overcoming higher and more
challenging obstacles, and supporting each other in the process.
Individuals can climb to their own heights of excellence and achieve
peak performance, while being supported by the ropes and their
teammates on the ground. In the face of barriers, fear and perceived
risks, participants literally and metaphorically step up to a higher
level of performance as they reach high to achieve their desired
results.
