Career Training Opportunities
To further assist individuals in their efforts to find employment, HSA has developed a number of training programs with specific ties to employment opportunities - particularly in those areas of job growth.
The Construction Technology program in Stockton and the Renew program in Lodi offer classroom training along with on-the-job training to those individuals interested in a career in the construction industry.
Other training programs include the Warehouse Occupations program and a Food Service program developed in collaboration with the San Joaquin County Office of Education and San Joaquin Delta College.
Along with industry-specific training programs, HSA has worked with employers to develop programs that train individuals specifically for them. Case in point, the Marriot Corporation, which opened an international reservation center in Stockton. In partnership with the San Joaquin County Office of Education, HSA developed a referral system and training program that ensured an on-going resource of employees for the Marriot Corporation.
