General
Information
We provide linkage and referrals to many other agencies in the area. We
have Information on transportation, housing, medicine, drugs, battered
women and pregnancy services, and other services for community members.
Job
Referrals
This is especially beneficial to farm laborers during the various seasons.
We receive job opening flyers from the County and City of Lodi as well as
EDD. These are available and posted at the front of the building for
anyone seeking employment to view.
Emergency
Clothing Bank
Donations from concerned citizens provide the basis of our clothing bank.
We receive new items daily and the clothing room is always well stocked.
These items are available to anyone who comes into the Center and has a
need. We usually ask that each person take no more than ten pieces of
clothing but do not monitor the room.
Homeowners/Renters
Assistance
Yearly forms are available for
Rental/Homeowners discounts (for disabled seniors). We assist any client
who wishes in filling out these forms.
Personal
Income Tax Forms
Each year three or four members and volunteers attend a Tax Class to
qualify them to fill out Tax forms. They are prepared to do simple income
tax forms and also bi-lingual assistance. These are done by appointment
only throughout the tax season (Feb-Apr) each year.
Adopt-A-Family
Program
During the course of our daily operation we often find families who have
extended need which cannot be completed on a one time visit. Families that
require monitoring sometimes on a daily or weekly basis need our
assistance. These families are placed on our Adopt-A-Family Program.
Dial-A-Ride
Tickets
The City of Lodi allocates free Dial a Ride tickets to the Center to be
given to residents who have low or no income but find it necessary to go
to the doctor or hospital or shopping around town. These are documented
and given out according to need.
Additional
Programs
Additionally, we offer Girl Scouts, Families and Youth in Transition
Program, Medi-Cal Outreach, and an extensive computer lab. We also have a
GED Preparation Class, "The Buddy Study Class".
